The thermal mining method of the Yarega field has shown high performance. Formation oil recovery has reached 51%.
The implemented underground to surface system has allowed a twofold increase of oil production rates and the reduction of the volume of drilling of underground wells by 8,3 times.
With an increase in the extent of underground wells from 300 to 800 m, the driving of mine workings is reduced more than twice from 245 km to 110 km. With 800 meter long wells, the volume of surface injection wells is decreased twofold and the number of air supply wells is decreased by 4 times.
Driving mine workings with a double horizon system would make 946 km. The underground-to-surface system replaces the double horizon system, and at the same time driving of mine workings are reduced by 8,6 times.
According to the feasibility study for MSh-2016, construction of Mini mines reducesthe driving of mine workings in comparison with the basic option (95882 m):
– with the length of underground wells up to 800 m by 20783 m or for 21,7%;
– with the length of underground wells up to 2000 m by 46564 m or for 48,6%.
Note. During 2016 – 2017 in areas 2-3 and 2-4, which were planned to be developed with MSh-2-2000, driving of mine workings already had been conducted with NSh-2. Therefore, on MSh-2-2000 there only blocks 2-5 and 2-6 remain.
For construction of oil mines, the main restrictions are the gas to oil ratio and temperature of the seam. Restrictions for gas to oil ratio can be solved by means of use of the closed system of gathering oil. Restrictions for temperature can be solved by means of air conditioning. Oil mines can be applied in the development of the fields of light oil with the exhausted formation energy as tertiary or quarternary methods.
